Born in Hamburg, Sophie has studied Middle Eastern Studies, Arabic and Cultural Studies at the University of Leipzig. From 2013 to 2014 she attended the Evangelische Journalistenschule Berlin, a well-respected school for all areas of journalism with a special focus on the ethical principals of research and reporting. Since then, she has been working as a freelancer for public radio, TV and various online media. In Ocotber 2019, she joined the editorial team of euro|topics at n-ost.
